The Health Cabinet serves as an advisory committee to the Parish Nurse to support, encourage, help identify needs, and represent the Parish Nurse on the governing boards of the church.
Parish Nurse:

Elyse Detwiler, RN, MS, A-CCC

Elyse has been a registered nurse for 36 years with an RN from Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. She has a BS in Sociology and Applied Social Relations from ECSU and an MS in Health Care Management from Rensselaer at Hartford. She is also certified with an Advanced Certification in Continuity of Care plus certificate in PN from INPCRC with St Vincent's in Bridgeport. Elyse has worked in long-term care, acute-care and critical-care nursing and most recently retired from Lawrence and Memorial Hospital after 10 years as a case manager. In June 2001, Elyse completed the certificate course, "Basic Preparation for Parish Nurses" -- the accepted educational program endorsed by the International Parish Nurse Resource Center.
