New London Meal Center

Providing five lunches and six evening meals a week, a small staff is supplemented by volunteers from religious and secular organizations who help prepare some of the items served, greet and serve the guests and clean up so that the space is ready for the next meal.

During the pandemic, the routine has changed. Instead of serving cafeteria style, food is plated in takeout containers and distributed at the door to protect everyone involved.

St Andrew has a strong core of volunteers, but not everyone is available every month. If you are looking for a way to be a part of the mission of St Andrew church, have a couple of hours available on the fourth or (if applicable) fifth Friday of the month and would like a break from “quiet” social isolation; then we have a deal for you. Look for postings in the church announcements or contact Joe Jackson for more information.
