Preschool Staff

We are privileged to have eight experienced and dedicated professionals running our preschool.

Pat Dalton

Director / 3’s and 4’s class teacher
Pat has been teaching preschool children for many years.   She was the director of the existing preschool for four years at the Mystic Community Center prior to moving the program to St. Andrew in 2003.  Pat has her degree in Early Childhood Education.

Denise Kennedy

4’s class Lead Teacher
Denise has been working with young children for over 30 yrs.  She was the lead teacher of the Noank Elementary after school enrichment program for 12 years.  She also volunteered at the Noank Baptist Nursery School for several years before becoming a permanent teacher on staff.   She worked at the Nursery school for 15 years and in that time achieved certification in Early Childhood Education at Three Rivers Community College.  Denise became Director of the Noank Nursery School for one year before relocation to Cincinnati.  In Cincinnati she worked for 3 years teaching inner city children reading and life skills. Denise is back in Noank and is excited to be teaching at St.  Andrew Preschool.

Donna O’Hanlon

4’s class Assistant Teacher
Donna has been working at the preschool since 2004.  She is also the Director of Christian Education for the St Andrew Presbyterian Church.   Donna has a degree in Christian Education and enjoys reading, scrapbooking and spending time with her family.

Debbie McMunn

3’s class Assistant Teacher
Debbie is excited to join the teaching team at St. Andrew.  She was a Kindergarten teacher for three years before becoming a stay at home mom to daughters Kate and Cara, both alumni of St. Andrew Preschool.  Debbie has a degree in Art and Design from the College of Design at NC State University.  She enjoys sailing, tennis, gardening and spending time with her family.

Cindy Clarke

2’s class Teacher
Cindy has been at St. Andrew since 2007.  She continues to take Early Childhood Education course work at Three Rivers Community College.  She already has a degree in Horticulture from the University of CT.  Cindy has two daughters who are graduates of the St. Andrew Preschool.

Susan Bogar

2’s class Assistant Teacher
Susan served on our Preschool  Parent/Teacher Advisory Board for several years. She has been a big part of the Children’s Craft Workshop, helping to organize and  create amazing crafts. This is an amazing event and Susan helps make it all happen. Susan has two young children, one whom is an alumni student of  St. Andrew and one will be entering our four’s program. Susan serves as is a PTO member of the Northeast Academy Elementary School. She has substituted in the classroom and has helped out in several of our events. She is an assistant teacher in the two’s program. Susan is calm and her gentle approach with the children is a tremendous asset as well as her creativity. Susan has a degree in Business Marketing and continues education taking print design.

Allison Zyrlis

2’s class Assistant Teacher
Allison has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Connecticut and a Masters in Education with K-6 certification from Sacred Heart University.  Allison has been working with children for 15 years, especially in the Early Childhood age level.  Allison has two young children, is married and in enjoys local traveling, hiking, crafting and yoga.

Gena Scognamigilio

2’s class Assistant Teacher
Gena has taken some courses in Early Childhood Education.  She has worked at Precious Memories Daycare center for a couple of years.  She  presently helps her Mom out at her home day care in Waterford.  Gena has a love for baking too.
