    Speaking of Faith, hosted by Krista Tippett, is public radio’s weekly national conversation about belief, meaning, ethics, and ideas. It is produced and distributed by American Public Media. Speaking of Faith does not always have “religion” itself as a subject. Week after week, it grapples with themes of American life — asking how perspectives of faith might distinctively inform and illuminate our public reflection.

  • Prayer Shalls
    Whether they are called: “Prayer Shawls”, “Comfort Shawls”, “Peace Shawls” or “Mantles” just to name a few; the knitter begins each shawl with prayers and blessings for the recipient. Intentions are continued throughout the creation of the shawl. When the shawl is completed it is offered a final ritual before being sent along its way.     This catechism spells out some fundamental Christian beliefs. This site lets you read through the Westminster Shorter Catechism with extensive links to supporting scripture and commentaries.

    This is the web page for the soc.religion.Christian newsgroup. It carries an extensive FAQ collection with reasonable, balanced and intelligent responses to the most frequent questions posed to Christians, addressing some fairly controversial topics. The Short FAQ and What is Christianity? are good starting points and are good reads for both Christians or non-Christians.
