When SAPC resumes in-person worship. In order to ensure the safety of the congregation, we will be taking a number of precautions. Please take a moment to read through the following items so you are aware of the risks and know what to expect if you do attend.
Masks will be required. If you forget to bring your own, we will have a supply on-hand.
Gloves will be provided, but not required.
If you are sick, please stay home. According to the CDC, 8 out of 10 deaths from COVID-19 have been among adults 65 years old and older. For your safety, we strongly encourage older adults to stay home. People with certain health conditions are at elevated risk of dying from COVID-19.
For your safety, we strongly encourage you to stay home if:
- you have chronic lung disease, including asthma;
- you have a serious heart condition;
- you are immunocompromised;
- you have diabetes;
- you have chronic kidney disease and are undergoing dialysis;
- you have liver disease;
- you have HIV.
We will continue streaming services over Zoom for people who wish to stay home. Please contact the office to receive the zoom address.
Six feet of social distancing will be maintained before, during, and after the service. This means we cannot greet one another with hugs or handshakes.
With social distancing measures in effect, the sanctuary can only hold 50 people. Overflow seating will be set up in the Fellowship Hall, where attendees will view the service on a large screen monitor.
Due to the increased risk of spreading the coronavirus, there will be no singing. Music will be limited to instrumental pieces.
To facilitate contact tracing in the event that any worshippers subsequently test positive for coronavirus, all attendees will be asked to sign in.
Bulletins will be provided, but in order to minimize surface contact, attendees may wish to view the bulletin on their phones or other personal devices. The bulletin will be emailed to the congregation during the week prior to the service.
If you have questions about any of our plans for re-opening, Please contact the office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
